Destination
The main tourist areas are the West and South Coasts. The South coast is well known for its beaches, lively nightlife and restaurants. At St Lawrence you well find open air bars, live music, restaurants and night clubs.
There are Jet Ski, sails, kayak, windsurfing, snorkeling, water skiing, scuba diving, fishing etc available on most beaches for hire. You can also enjoy the outdoor sports such as hiking, tennis, golf, horse riding etc.
Economy
Barbados is one of the most prosperous of all the West Indian islands. The tourism industry has now become the main revenue. Banks beer is the local island brew. Cockspur and Mount Gay are rums manufactured in Barbados.
Offshore banking and investment has actively sought by the Barbadian Government.
Weather
Barbados offers sunshine everyday. It is warm and sunny all year round. The average day time temperature is between 80 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The nights are usually slightly cooler. December to June is mainly the driest months. June to November is usually the rainy season which comes in quick showers.
Neighbourhood
Christchurch is the home for the lively South Coast. There are three main beaches in Christchurch Accra, Dover and Sandy Beach. Oistins comes alive on a Friday night where you can eat at local restaurants, drink a few rums wash down by a few beers, dance to the lively young people music or watch the elderly locals dancing the old time two step. It will be a joy to watch. St Lawrence Gap is where it all happening. Water sports or sunbathes during the day and at nights the Gap comes alive with abundance of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Culture
Barbadian known as Bajans is mostly of African decent and they are some of the friendliest of all the West Indian islands. They love their cricket. Kensington Oval north of Bridgetown is where test matches are played. The Garrison holds weekly horse racing meeting.
