Entry Requirements

All visitors to Barbados require a valid passport to gain entry to the island plus a valid return ticket.
Some commonwealth countries, USA, UK, Canada and Nationals of CARICOM member states do not require a Barbados visa but maybe admitted for a maximum of 3 months.

Currency & Tax
The currency in Barbados is the Barbados dollar. The Barbados dollar and the USD dollar are accepted on the island.
Credit Cards and Travellers Cheques in UK and Canadian funds are also accepted in shops and hotels. You can exchange this currency at the Bank. Most banks ATM machine accepts credit cards and dispenses money in Barbados dollar.
To purchase duty free which is offer at major high street stores, you must have your passport and airline ticket with you. The assistant will give you a receipt which must be handed in at the airport on your departure.

. All visitors should arrange their own travel insurance before travelling to Barbados. Emergency services are available to visitor and residents at 2 major hospitals, the Queen Elizabeth and Bay View Hospital.
.There is no specific Vaccinations required for visitors to Barbados.
.Vehicles are left hand drive and driven on the left hand side of the road. All visitors intended driving must be over 25 with a valid drivers licence to obtain a permit. A charge of $10 BDS or $5 USD for a permit and is valid for a year.
